God Statue, Thor

A fantastic statue of Thor standing with hammer in hand, with the dead Midgard Serpent still wrapped around his body. "EK MEGIN" is written with the Elder Futhark runes on the hammer, which translates to "I am Powerful". A handmade, original design, it is cast it in acrylic resin and painted to resemble ancient bronze by a Swedish artist. This statue makes a great centerpiece on any shelf, table or shrine.

This statue is used by people in modern day Scandinavia both as decoration and in small shrines. Thor is a prominently mentioned god throughout the recorded history of the Germanic peoples, from the Roman occupation of regions of Germania, to his high popularity during the Viking Age. Thor is associated with thunder, lightning, storms, oak trees, strength, the protection of mankind, and also hallowing, healing and fertility. His arch-nemesis is the Midgard Serpent.
