The time-consuming process of making our Premium Horns require a combination of high level artistry and expert crafting skills. Each custom motif is designed for the purpose and carved by hand into the horn. The handmade wooden stand matches the horn in terms of quality and craftsmanship. Each horn is a unique piece of art that stays true to authenticity and quality.
This 2 pint, very detailed horn has had a lot of work invested in it. It is inspired by the Picturestone in Gotland, Sweden, that has the original design. The artist's interpretation differs slightly from the most common one. He sees her as the "first witch", hence the runic writing "wurmawikko-hagatusi" in the Elder Futhark. The knotwork design matches the 600s and the style of the Picture Stone. The animals in the triangular triskele have been changed to a wolf, raven and snake, which fits better with the artists interpretation of the motif.
The wooden stand builds on the same design, with the shape mimicking the stone. The snakewitch is depicted on it, as well a bindrune of the runic galdir ᚺᚨᚷᚨᚺ ”HAGAH”. It's crafted out of birch and treated with linseed oil.
